The magazine recently picked the 29-year-old True Blood actress’ film Margaret as the best film of the year.

The film was shot in 2005, but was not released until September of this year and Anna received a whopping 95% of the critics’ vote for best female performance of the year!
“I love this movie,” the director of the film Kenneth Lonergan said of the film. “I have never worked harder or longer on anything in my professional life. It would mean everything to me if the film could at least have a fair chance at a life of its own.”

True Blood Anna Paquin spotted mad shopping in Santa Monica,CA. “True Blood,” Sookie,hottie Anna Paquin was recently spotted out in Santa Monica, California two days ago to do a little shopping spree with all her “True Blood” money.

She appeared to be very busy as she was chatting with someone on her cell phone while sporting some very casual attire that looked very appropriate for the hot California heat.

According to sources, Anna was spotted shopping at a few stores in Sana Monica,California. She kept walking from shop to shop while on that cell phone. The day before, Anna was spotted hangin with Her new hubby and “True Blood” co-star Stephen Moyer.

They did some mid-day exercising,which consisted of a bike ride together. Stephen’s daughter Lilac also joined them,and they stopped at an ice cream shop at one point. As for “True Blood,” we’ll have to wait until next summer to see the highly anticipated season 4.

Vampires and Werewolves With Real Problems

With no True Blood on July 4th I have to live with the final images of this episode etched in my mind. As graphic and WTF-inducing that scene was, I can fully appreciate True Blood as an amazing vampire show after my experience with Eclipse this week. But that’s another story, perhaps for the Eclipse comment section. Onwards to the recap!

Eric dives in front of a very laughable slow-mo special effects bullet meant for the werewolf, which was fired from Sookie’s gun at the end of the previuos episode. Eric wants to keep the werewolf alive for information, but the intruder doesn’t talk. Sookie is able to read his mind and extract the name Jackson before Eric kills him.
Eric and Sookie head to the graveyard and bury the werewolf in a recently buried grave. Sookie mentions the name Jackson that she managed to obtain from the werewolf’s thoughts before his demise at the hands of the vampire. Eric tells her it is not a name, but where the werewolf is from, Jackson, Mississippi. Continuing her insane rescuing antics, Sookie decides to drop everything and make a mad dash for Mississippi with no plan in mind. Eric tells her to travel at night and spend the day to think about it. Sookie asks Eric if he will be able to rescue her in time in case she gets in trouble. Eric replies, probably not.


Sookie stops by Merlotte’s to tell Sam she will be in Jackson for a few days looking for Bill. She asks him to keep an eye on Jessica, even jokingly saying to give her a job.

Back at the Stackhouse residence, Sookie has her first run-in with Alcide who used to be a bartender on One Tree Hill. Alcide reassures Sookie he means no harm by saying Eric sent him.

Eric on the other hand stops by Lafayette’s house with a brand new car for him. Lafayette doesn’t seem to trust him, but Eric reassures him saying there is a lot to value in someone like Lafayette. If he keeps up the good work, he could be living a better life.

Sookie and Alcide stop by a werewolf bar where Sookie sweet-talks her way into the backroom with a werewolf that attacked Bill. The werewolf gets a bit rough with Sookie causing Alcide to barge in and save her. One of the werewolves tells Alcide that Debbie is getting married to Cooter and the party is going to be at the bar the following night. I’m guessing Debbie is an old werewolf love? Guess like we’ll find out next episode.

Nude scenes? That’s a breeze, says True Blood star Anna Paquin. But having to drink vampire blood — well, that just sucks.

“I get a kick out it, but the actual blood makes me want to gag!” Paquin tells Self in its July issue on newsstands Tuesday. “It’s kind of a sweet corn syrup, I think, with an aftertaste that’s less than pleasant after the 10th take,” she adds of filming scene for the popular HBO series. “In season one, they asked me if I wanted sugar or sugar-free. I was like, ‘Sugar-free blood? Sounds great!’”

Big mistake: “It only tastes like the latex tubes it’s coming through,” says Paquin, 27, who, in one particular scene had to feed “ravenously from Bill’s arm so I drank probably a gallon. Never again.”Kissing a vampire, says the actress, is “sharp [and] dangerous” and those famous fangs are top-quality props they’re not allowed to take home.

“Those things are actually really expensive and quite fragile! They are not toys,” she says.

As for why she and fiancee Stephen Moyer, 40, kept their relationship a secret for the first 10 months, Paquin explains the the two costars simply “had a job to do.”

“You don’t want to bring personal stuff to work,” she says. “I’m of the opinion that if it’s nobody’s problem, it’s nobody’s business. But who knows who knew what and when? Clearly Alan Ball, the show’s creator, cast us because we had chemistry!”

For every red carpet success, there are about 10 epic fails. Sad, yes, but also true. We're not sure where these ladies went wrong during the award show dress-picking process, but we do know that someone needs to set them straight.

Which is why we're here, of course. We've combed through all the dresses from this weekend's Screen Actor's Guild Awards and picked out what we feel are the six worst ensembles. Here's hoping these mistakes aren't repeated!

So, after Anna Paquin's Golden Globes dress disaster, we had hope, real hope, that the actress would bounce back for the SAG Awards. Alas, we were disappointed .. .big time. The "True Blood" star showed up to the carpet in a short, printed dress more suited for the after party than the awards ceremony.

Bridal shop fails to deliver wedding dresses for 50 women

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - It's a headache approximately 50 women in northern Colorado did not anticipate while planning their upcoming weddings. They aren't getting the wedding dresses they bought and paid for.

Police in Fort Collins launched an investigation and are working to help brides find dresses after a bridal shop closed and failed to deliver the wedding gowns.

Police spokeswoman Rita Davis said employees of Mountain Avenue Bridal and police are working with brides to find an appropriate dress from 50 sample dresses seized at the shop. Only one woman has taken a dress, while two have chosen veils.

A message could not be left Wednesday at a number listed for store owner Patty Burling because the voice mailbox was full, according to a report in the Coloradoan newspaper.

The paper reported similar occurrences involving prom dresses at another shop owned by Burling called Bella Novia Bridal Boutique in Glenrock, Wyo., that closed earlier this year.

Davis did not say what charges Burling may face.
